Liver tumor chemoembolization
For certain liver cancers, we deliver chemotherapy directly into the tumor’s blood supply and block it to starve the cancer—this improves outcomes with fewer side effects than traditional chemo.
This is an intra-operative representative image of a liver tumor which was treated through tiny catheters through a pin-hole in the groin for injection of the chemotherapeutic agents superselectively within the tumor, avoiding the side effects of intravenous chemotherapy. This helps in effective control of the tumor spread and decreased the size of the tumor significantly.
Liver Tumor Radiofrequency or Microwave Ablation
We destroy small liver tumors by inserting a needle and heating the tumor from within using energy—this targeted therapy preserves healthy liver and avoids open surgery.
Obstructive Jaundice – Biliary Drainage & Stenting
Blocked bile ducts can cause yellowing of skin and infection. We relieve this by placing a drainage tube or stent through a pinhole in the skin—restoring normal bile flow.
Liver Cirrhosis – TIPS Stenting
Patients with cirrhosis and severe abdominal swelling (ascites or variceal bleeding) benefit from TIPS—a special stent that creates a bypass within the liver to reduce pressure and symptoms.
